Produced by animation pioneers, and chief rivals to Walt Disney, Max Fleischer and brother Dave, who were responsible for lovable characters like Betty Boop, Popeye the Sailor and the highly successful Superman series, brought to the screen the second full-length animated feature film (Disney’s Snow White in 1937 being the first). This film has been hailed by critics and animation buffs, such as Jerry Beck, as one of the most technically advanced animated features ever made, and far superior to any work (to that date) produced by the Disney Studio.

This special 75th anniversary screening is a treat for the eyes and ears!
